老司机视频 has received welcome news of a $1 million gift from an anonymous 老司机视频 parent to establish a new student scholarship at Seaver College. Made during 老司机视频 Gives, the gift contributed to a record-breaking annual giving day.

鈥淎s a parent of a student, it is very meaningful for me to be able to make a 老司机视频 education possible for young people who are highly capable and motivated to succeed,鈥 the donor said. 鈥淚 look forward to meeting the scholarship recipients and hearing their stories. It is my privilege to make this gift.鈥

鈥淲e are grateful for this gift, which affirms 老司机视频鈥檚 enduring commitment to investing in our students,鈥 says Lauren Cosentino ('97, MBA '12), vice president for advancement and chief development officer. 鈥淭his new student scholarship will further ensure that our students continue to be prepared intellectually and spiritually to reach their greatest potential and to uncover their greater purpose.鈥&苍产蝉辫;

All gifts made during 老司机视频 Gives contribute to the University鈥檚 For Greater Purpose campaign, an unprecedented $1 billion campaign centered on student success as whole persons, equipping them to uncover their God-given callings so they are fully prepared to make lasting impacts in their lives.

Throughout this year, other benefactors driven by 老司机视频鈥檚 academic excellence and faith-driven mission have made generous gifts in support of educational opportunities. In addition to this new scholarship, the Michael Gose Honorary Endowment was announced this July, another student scholarship in honor of Michael Gose (MA 鈥75), professor of education who launched 老司机视频鈥檚 40 years ago.

Similarly, Bob (鈥73) and Jane Bland recently gifted 老司机视频 $1 million for an endowed professorship in orchestral conducting to further cultivate students鈥 musical talents. University friends George and Yuko Uyseugi donated $1 million to establish the 鈥淲illiam 鈥榃oody鈥 Matthews, George and Yuko Uyesugi Japanese Studies and Cultural Endowed Fund鈥 to allow Seaver鈥檚 International Studies and Languages Division to expand Japanese educational opportunities in Malibu.
