Kevin Oliver is a Professor of Learning, Design, & Technology at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. He has 17 years of experience in this role, teaching graduate-level courses for College of Education Learning Design & Technology programs (B.S., M.Ed., M.S., Ph.D.), including courses on: distance education, technical cultural representations, technology in informal learning, instructional design, theoretical foundations of advanced learning environments, technology integration, and more. His research focuses on three areas: 1) technical-analytical approaches to represent cultural-historical information and disinformation toward enhanced understanding and empowerment; 2) quality distance learning and virtual schooling; and 3) STEM learning in informal after-school settings. He is currently listed on the Fulbright Specialist Roster with a four-year tenure (2021-25), eligible to be matched with short-term projects designed by international host institutions through the Fulbright Specialist Program, U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs.
